Future Armoured Vehicles Survivability Conference and Exhibition begins

The Future Armoured Vehicles Survivability Conference and Exhibition is to kick off in London today and this year will see a strong emphasis on emerging technologies and how these might be exploited.

New for the 2017 event, is the addition of an Active Protection Systems Focus Day, where attendees can hear in-depth briefings on the very latest technical developments in both the soft and hard kill domain.

It is envisaged that this will be of major benefit to those organisations looking to prioritise Active Protection Systems to improve Armoured Vehicle Survivability.

The Conference will also cover the core areas of survivability, exploring the latest platforms, vehicle architectures, passive protection, mobility, counter-IED, EW, un-manned/autonomous solutions and signature management.

The event will feature speakers from across the Defence platform including Alex Hansell, Survivability Lead, Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme at Lockheed Martin, Professor Bryn James, Head of Armoured Protection at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl); David Maseredjian Jr Survivability Lead Land Warfare Systems at Raytheon Missile Systems; and Lieutenant General Richard Felton, Director General Defence Safety Authority at the MoD.

The event runs between the 14th and 16th of November at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington.
