Contract Description:
The United States Coast guard intends to sole source the purchase of two highly specialized pieces of equipment for its Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) program. The purpose is to provide The Coast Guard Investigative Service’s TSCM’s technicians with the tools they need to effectively counter the threats of maritime security and potential acts of maritime base terrorism. Based on this, the USCG intends to sole source the purchase of one (1) OSCOR Blue and one (1) ORION 2.4 Hx directly from the manufacturer (Research Electronics International, LLC).
This notice serves as both a synopsis of the requirement, public notice of the USCG’s intent to sole source, and finally, the public posting of the sole source justification.
This is a simplified acquisition estimated to be under $250,000.00.
As a result of this notice, a separate award notice or further notices to the public shall not be made. This notice constitutes all of the USCG’s public notice requirements.
